| Family School Liaison Worker |
| In cooperation with the Prairie Rose School Division, in 1992 a full time social worker was placed in the local rural school system. In 1995 the County provided an additional one time grant from its provincial FCSS surplus to expand the program to the new and much larger Prairie Rose region. Family School Liaison Workers are now an integral part of the entire Prairie Rose education system. Workers are assigned and regularly visit schools providing non-academic support, referral and counseling to students and families. The equivalent of one full-time worker provides this valuable service specifically to Cypress
County students and their families, with no cost to the family. |
