This program initially started in 1994 to allow for special transportation services to be provided to residents in need. Cypress County FCSS pays a Medicine Hat based taxi service one-half of the fare for approved users. Those using this service are required to pay the other half of this service fee each time they access the service. There is also a similar arrangement with the City of Medicine Hat for residents requiring wheel chair accessible transportation.
